Jorge Miguel's family arrived in Canada before he was born, but he remembers his visits to Cadiz - full of family, friends, and food for the senses. Despite his initial rebellion toward these deep cultural traditions he now smilingly admits to playing, "Spanish Flamenco guitar with a Canadian accent."
He formed The Jorge Miguel Flamenco Ensemble in 2002 with some of the best musicians and dancers in Toronto. The Ensemble combines El Toque, El Baile y El Canté - Flamenco guitar, dance and singing - the three pillars of Flamenco. This pasionate and talented group is dedicated to presenting authentic and traditional Flamenco in Canada and around the world.
